Resilience & Community
Over the years, the Sand Bank Yacht Club (SBYC) and the Treasure Cay community have weathered numerous tropical storms and hurricanes that have tested both our infrastructure and our resolve. While many of these storms were Category 1 events, each demanded resilience, time, and collective effort to recover and rebuild.
Two storms stand out in our history for their profound impact: Hurricane Floyd in September 1999 and, two decades later, Hurricane Dorian in September 2019. Both left lasting marks on our community, yet also highlighted the strength, unity, and determination that define SBYC and Treasure Cay.
As Board members, we take great pride in the unwavering support our members have shown for one another and for the broader Treasure Cay community during these challenging times. It is this spirit of camaraderie and commitment that continues to guide us forward.
